Extreme Life Extension through tissue regeneration was a fascinating topic. An ability to grow human organs using ones’ own cells in a lab and replacing spoiled ones through transplants. It was strange to imagine many of us having an extended life of 100/150 years.

Science shows us ways to improve our health, look younger, increase our longevity as we want these inventions, we want to be innovative and fight against those wrinkles, age and death. But we fail to notice nature, our wasteful habits, and the dented earth. Thousands loose their lives in a blink of an eye through natural disasters. Can we achieve Extreme Life Extension without thinking about Global warming?

recycle_electronics-300x300

I am not sure if anyone says this often, if at all. But Best Buy needs to be commended for their new initiative.

In February, Best Buy launched an electronics recycling program open to all consumers at all locations, irrespective of where it was purchased.

Just bring in your old monitors, TV’s, computers, even providing haul-away service for appliances. Oh, and for doing so, Best Buy will reward you with a $10 gift card. That’s just brilliant.

It could not get any more easier than this. I request every reader to keep this in mind when they are about to chunk that old dvd player, vcr, radio, etc in their garbage bin. Please act responsibly and do the right thing.

For more details about the program, visit your local Best Buy store or click  here.

paper coffee cupCouple of months ago a company made changes in their coffee cup policy. Whereby, no more paper cups will be stocked in the pantry and every single employee was given a mug. Argument being, using mugs was eco-friendly (no doubt), and it saved the company a bundle every year.

After the change, there were a few who hated this new idea. A few were vocal about it as well. One of them said, as noble as this change is, is it really helping the environment?

His argument, “We saved a few hundred trees annually, but in comparison, the usage of hot water soap, and reams of paper towels to dry them cups went up.”

A valid point indeed!

Did this organization really make a significant environment impact, or just shifted the wastage. Being Green for sake of being Green, is it helping or hurting?

These are the types of issues, discussion, and questions that we want to highlight in this blog. Also, wherever possible provide fact based insight to you.

And few months from now, we will be launching our retail site, with sole responsibility of making available to you eco-friendly products that can be used in our daily lives, replacing what we already use at affordable prices.

Thanks for reading and do not forget to subscribe!
